Kirk St.Amant received his Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Scientific and Technical Communication, at the University of Minnesota, St. Paul, MNgma, U.S.A. He currently serves as Co-Director of the Technology and Society Research Lab, Director of Center for Health and Medical Communication, University Research Center/Research and Innovation Enterprise, Louisiana Tech University, Ruston, LA, U.S.A. and as Professor and Eunice C. Williamson Endowed Chair in Technical Communication at Louisiana Tech University, Ruston, LA, U.S.A. Dr. St.Amant’s list of publications includes theoretical and research papers in the field of communication and more specifically in business communication, engineering communication, and technical communication.

Renzo Mocini received his PhD in Cultural-Systems Sciences, specializing in the “Theory and Practice of Translation” at the University of Sassari, Sardegna, Italy. He currently serves as Associate Professor at the Department of Surgical Sciences, School of Medicine and Dentistry, Sapienza University. Rome, Italy Prof. Mocini’s list of publications includes theoretical and research papers in the field of English linguistics, translation studies, discourse and text analysis, discourse strategies, ideologies, and epistemologies.

Stefania Cicillini received her MA in Translation at the University of Torino, Italy. She is currently working on her PhD in Digital Humanities at the Department of Foreign Languages, Literatures and Modern Cultures University of Torino, Italy. Stefania Cicillini’s list of publications includes theoretical and research papers in the field of EFL/ESP teaching and learning, Emergency Remote Teaching, multimodal analysis, conversation analysis, classroom discourse, discourse analysis, language contact, crisis management communication.

Barbara Cappuzzo received her degree in Modern Foreign Languages and Literatures (centered on European aspects) at the University of Palermo, Italy. She currently serves as Assistant Professor and researcher in the English Language and Translation at the Department of Psychology, Educational Science and Human Movement, University of Palermo, Italy. Prof. Cappuzzo’s list of publications includes theoretical and research papers in the field of specialized discourse, with particular reference to intercultural medical language, medical linguistics, English for Specific purposes, and English for Medical Purposes.

Prof. Daniele received her Medical Degree and her specialization in Sports Medicine from “G. d’Annunzio” University. She currently serves as professor of English language and translation at “G. d’Annunzio” University Medical School. Prof. Daniele’s list of publications includes theoretical and research papers in the field of English linguistics, translation studies, discourse and text analysis, doctor-patient interaction, ESP and more specifically medical English, English learning and development in multicultural settings. Her current interests involve assessment of machine translations of medical articles.
