Dr. Shalini Balasubramani is an assistant professor and yoga researcher whose work focuses on women’s health, embodied awareness and social impact of yoga. She teaches practical and therapeutic applications of yoga, along with yoga anatomy and physiology. Her research interests include qualitative investigations into personal transformation through yoga, hormonal health among women with PCOS and the role of yoga in addressing post-crisis societal challenges. Alongside her academic work, she teaches yoga to women in India and Sri Lanka, using holistic practices to support healing, emotional wellbeing, resilience and community empowerment. Her work seeks to bridge traditional yogic wisdom with contemporary research and public wellbeing initiatives.
